Sof Sole Athlete Performance Insoles

The Sof Sole Athlete Performance Insole is the ultimate contoured cushion insole for unparalleled comfort and shock absorption. The Athlete is constructed from three separate layers of cushioning materials that combine to create a breathable, durable and amazingly comfortable cushion insole.

The Athlete Performance Insole has two distinct models - the Insole designed especially for Men and the Insole designed especially for Women.

The bottom yellow layer of the Sof Sole Athlete is a “closed cell” polyurethane foam, which means that the bubbles that permeate the foam do not interconnect. Closed cell foams are very resilient to compression making them very durable.

The attributes that stop the bubbles from connecting serve to make the insole very durable, are nonporous but do not breathe or promote air circulation through a shoe. To make the Athlete Performance Insoles more breathable, Sof Sole added an additional layer of their patented Implus™ material atop the Yellow Polyurethane foam. Sof Sole’s Implus™ is a unique "open cell" foam which means that the bubbles that permeate the foam do interconnect so air can pass through the insole Sof Sole’s Implus™ material is amazingly durable but is also breathable. The result of the two layer combination is the Sof Sole Athlete Performance Insoles, made with Implus™, wick perspiration away from the foot and facilitates air circulation through the shoe.

When walking or running, the first part of the foot to strike the ground is the heel. As we complete the step, we push off with the ball of the foot. Considering we strike the ground with up to twice our body weight with each walking step, any additional cushioning in the heel and ball of foot area would help enhance the value of a cushioning insole. Sof Sole added extra dense Implus™ to increase the durability and shock absorption of the Athlete Performance Insole. This extra dense Implus™ material resists compression and ensures long lasting shock absorption at the heel and ball of the foot.

The Sof Sole Athlete Performance Insole is contoured for a more natural, comfortable feel. It has a mild heel cup and a moderate rise into the arch. The Athletes Performance Insole is not a true arch support but its contoured design is considerably more comfortable than a traditional flat cushion insole.

The Sof Sole Athlete Performance Insoles are full length insoles (that come as large as a Men's Size 16) intended to be worn in shoes that have removable insoles such as casual walking shoes, athletic shoes, outdoor shoes and hiking boots.
