I have paid hundreds for custom orthodics, and not had as good of an experience as I had with the Spenco insoles. I have VERY flat feet, and I am a heel runner. After years of bad alignment and running abuse my knees finally started to give out. My Orthopedist and Physical Therapist both recommended I get arch support. When I saw the "Spenco For Her Total Support Insoles" write-up I really thought it was just a gimmick: someone latching onto a medical catch-phrase (the Q-Factor, for the Q-angles which are different in women than in men). I decided to gamble on it: the price was right, so at most I would be out about $25. I was amazed with how well my feet and knees felt once I started using these. I brought them in to show my Physical Therapist, and she liked them so much she asked where I got them! I don't leave the house without them now. (Posted on 9/15/10)

I had morton's neuroma and went to see my doctor. I thought he was going to recommend surgery but instead he suggested trying the spenco for women arch supports. I was glad he did not want to do any surgery but I was a little disappointed too because I did not think any insoles would make a difference. But, I was very wrong. These insoles not only made me forget about the morton's neuroma, they also made my feet and legs feel better at the end of the day. Who knew that relief was such a simple step? Wow, what a difference they make. I have used many different brands and have never been satisfied. I was thinking I needed to go get some custom orthotics but the thought of spending hundreds sort of held me back.
Finally, I tried the spenco womens insoles. I read about the q factor and thought it was some sales gimmick but after wearing the insoles for a couple of weeks I can tell already that there is a real difference. I really like these and notice a big difference in comfort. My feet never hurt anymore and maybe there is something true about foot alignment and knee pain cause I also notice that my knees never hurt anymore either. So far I am very pleased. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for some good insoles that seem to be pretty well made. I am not too keen on the 30 bucks for a pair but that sure beats the custom orthotics price.
